Welcome to the Public Outreach Website for the Cook County DoTH ADA Transition Plan!

In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) has developed an ADA Transition Plan to serve as a guide to further the goals and initiatives set forth in the Connecting Cook County Long Range Transportation Plan. The plan strives to prioritize pedestrian travel, promote access equality and modernize existing facilities within the public right-of-way.

The ADA Transition Plan document evaluates DoTH policies, programs and facilities within the public right-of-way to ensure compliance with the latest accessibility guideline requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.

We encourage you to fully explore this Public Outreach Website. Once you’re finished, please provide your feedback on the ADA Transition Plan here.
